Roots run deep between these two Lancaster-based companies. The short answer is this: Boostpoint was co-founded by Sam Beiler, son of Equipter Founder and former roofer Aaron Beiler, and both companies aim to help enhance roofing professionalism on a national level.
While Aaron’s vision for increased professionalism and efficiency led to the invention of the self-propelled Equipter RB4000 trailer, his son’s passion for advertising and technology sparked the development of unique software for digital advertising.
According to Sam, “Boostpoint and Equipter are equally driven to help contracting business. Because of this, we've found unique ways to partner and bring value to contractors.”
About one year after Aaron’s roof replacement business began using the Equipter on roofing job sites, they started exploring ways to spread a message to share the difference the Equipter made for contractors and homeowners. And so New Roof No Mess® was born.
New Roof No Mess was first advertised on a billboard in the early 2000s. Then came homeowner-facing flyers, brochures, and booklets available exclusively to Equipter customers. Sam took over the Equipter Marketing Department in 2014 to further explore ways to help roofing contractors use the New Roof No Mess message.
In 2017, Sam began pursuing social advertising software options:
Rubbing shoulders with small business owners, I discovered that [they want] to grow their businesses, but many of them feel stuck because they don’t know how to leverage newer forms of advertising like social media advertising. This put the founding team of Boostpoint on a mission to unlock growth from small businesses by unlocking the power of social media ads.
With the support of the Equipter family, Sam Beiler left Equipter in 2018 to co-found Boostpoint with Jared Neff. Together, the two developed software that would help roofers more easily spread the New Roof No Mess message across social media.
